About

Katerina Psimmenou is a multidisciplinary designer based in Athens, Greece, working mainly with digital media. She obtained her diploma in architecture from the National Technical University of Athens and her masters in Digital Arts from the University of the Arts London. She is involved among other things with digital art and 3D design, graphic design and illustration, motion graphics and animation.

In her art practice, she experiments with a combination of 2D and 3D techniques, including digital sculpting, 3D modeling and texturing, 3D scanning, image and video editing, to generate still images and video installations across the digital realm. Her work is based on existential theories to a great extent, raising questions concerning perception as a process, identity in relation to the body and the flesh, interconnection, corporeal and public memory.
